Holas Y Burbujas (1 - 2 years)

Join Galter LifeCenter’s newest semi-private aquatics program, Holas y Burbujas! This bilingual parent-child swim class is dedicated to educating parents and children on water safety while also offering tools to incorporate the Spanish language into your daily lives through song and play. Parents do not need to have any prior knowledge of the Spanish language to participate!

During early childhood development exposure to a second language can benefit children in many ways, including increased cognitive flexibility, creativity, and providing a broader cultural perspective of the world.

This class is currently available for children 1-2 years old. Class size is 3 participants per instructor. Only 1 parent per child will be allowed in the water at a time.

Member registration opens 2 weeks in advance of class date. Nonmember registration opens 1 week in advance. Registration will only be accepted under the child participant’s name. If your child does not have an active account, please call the Courtesy Desk at 773-878-9936, ext. 5660 for assistance.

Curriculums for the Holas Y Burbujas program include:

Holas Y Burbujas (1 - 2 years)

  • Water safety skills
  • Songs and play through Spanish and English.
  • Blowing bubbles.
  • Flipping safely from front to back floats.
  • Instructor assisted swimming skills.

Aquababies also uses fun songs to match the activities!

 For your reference:

  • Holas Y Burbujas classes are held in the East Therapy Pool.
  • Class size is 3 participants to 1 instructor.
  • One parent per child will be allowed in the water at one time.
  • Each parent-child participant is allowed one free make-up class per session. Make up classes are held in the week following the end of the regular class schedule, at the same time and day as your current class.
