We are pleased to announce that Galter LifeCenter is moving into phase 5 in alignment with the City of Chicago’s and CDC's guidance. While we are reopening many areas of the facility, the safety of our staff, members and guests remains our top priority. Please continue to practice proper hand hygiene, social distancing and wear masks when interacting with others.

 Facility Updates  

  • Reservations are required for pool use and classes. Facility Access appointments are no longer required to use the fitness floor. 
  • All lockers are now available for use in the locker rooms.
  • The indoor track is fully open and no longer limited to walking only.
  • Group Fitness class sizes have increased based on location. Capacities will still be restricted in some areas of the facility where patient services are offered.
  • More exercise equipment is being made available on the fitness floor.
  • Masks are required to be worn by all individuals in common areas like the locker room and lobby. If you have not been vaccinated or feel that you are at-risk please continue to wear your mask at all times. If you are fully vaccinated, you may remove your mask while exercising.

 Classes and Services 

  • Group Fitness – We offer a wide variety of land and water group fitness classes all included with membership. Now including 40+ weekly Virtual Group Fitness classes! 
  • One-on-one services – We offer in-person and virtual Personal TrainingPilates and Integrative Therapy appointments.
  • Small group training – We offer a small group training options including; TRX, Barre, 3D30, Masters Swimming and more! 

 

 Visit Guidelines 

  • Online reservations for Group Fitness classes and pool lanes are available 72 hours in advance through the My Wellness portal.
  • Reservations are available over the phone and in person 48 hours in advance through the Courtesy Desk.
  • Pool lane reservations are limited to one hour per day. Please note that pool reservations are in high demand. If you can no longer attend a reservation time please cancel your reservation using our My Wellness portal. Additionally, please refrain from registering for more than one aqua group fitness class per day.

 

 Safety Protocols 

We will continue to work with our infection control team at Swedish Hospital as well as monitor government developments and requirements to continue to offer you services in the safest manner.

  • If you feel sick, stay home.
  • Masks are required to be worn by all individuals when entering and exiting the facility and in common areas like the locker room and lobby. If you have not been vaccinated or feel that you are at-risk please continue to wear your mask at all times. If you are fully vaccinated, you may remove your mask while exercising. 
  • All visitors have their temperature taken with a touchless thermometer. If your temperature is 100.4 F or higher you will not be allowed to enter the facility.
  • Water bottle filling stations are available, but fountain spouts are closed.
  • Remember to wipe down equipment before and after every use. Staff will also be wiping down equipment and high touch surfaces regularly throughout the day.
