We are Ready to Welcome You Back to Galter LifeCenter!

We are excited to announce that we have reopened our fitness floor and pools for use. Due to limited capacity, visits are by reservation only.  

The health and safety of our members, community and staff remain our highest priority, which is why we are requiring reservations limiting the time period you may come. To maintain social distance guidelines, only designated equipment is available. It is clearly marked and our team members are happy to direct you to the areas and equipment that are open.

 Visit Guidelines 

  • We are welcoming 50 people to the facility at a time to use the equipment in 90-minute time slots. View the time slots available for booking here>
  • You must reserve your time in advance. You may reserve a time up to 48 hours in advance through our My Wellness portal>
  • You may only reserve one 90-minute time slot per day. This does not include private one-on-one sessions. You may reserve space on the fitness floor and have a private session at a different time.
  • You don’t have to arrive right when your reservation begins, but you must leave at the time it ends. For instance, if your reserved time is 1 to 2:30 p.m. and you only want to work out for 30 minutes, you may come at 1:45 and leave at the designated time of 2:30.
  • You will not be allowed in the facility prior to your designated appointment time.
  • You must exit the facility at the end of your reserved time. If you plan to work out and shower you must do so within your 90-minute reserved time block.
  • Masks continue to be required in all areas of the facility and current screening protocols will remain in place. We encourage you to wear your mask as you wait to enter the facility.

 Hours of Operation 

Monday to Thursday: 5 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Friday: 5 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 6:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

 Membership Updates 

We have resumed automatic billing for memberships this month. All facility memberships include access to our virtual group fitness classes. If you wish to participate in virtual classes only, we now offer a virtual only membership option!

All members over the age of 65 or who will turn 65 by December 31, 2020 will be automatically placed on hold and not charged for membership. There will be no hold fee until at least January 1, 2021. If you are a member in this age group and would like to resume membership please speak with a membership representative to reactivate.

  • All members under 65 will be charged their regular fee beginning 9/1/20. If you would like to be placed on a free hold please speak with a membership representative. We will not be charging hold fees until at least January 1, 2021.
  • The Unlimited membership option is no longer available. Former Unlimited members will be converted to either full or limited membership plans. Please contact a membership representative if you have questions.
  • A virtual only membership type is now available for only $35 per month. If you are interested in signing up for this option instead of your current membership type please contact the Membership Department.

 Safety Protocols 

  • If you feel sick, stay home.
  • Masks are required to be worn by staff and members/guests at all times in all areas of the facility including the locker rooms. We recommend bringing a plastic bag to put your mask in while you shower so that it doesn’t get wet.
  • All members/guests will be asked screening questions upon arrival and have their temperature taken with a touchless thermometer. If your temperature is 100.4 F or higher you will not be allowed to enter the facility.
  • We encourage you to wear your mask as you wait to enter the facility.
  • Water bottle filling stations are available, but fountain spouts are closed.
  • Equipment is spaced to allow for social distancing. We ask for 10 feet of social distance while on the Fitness Floor.
  • Remember to wipe down equipment before and after every use.
  • Staff will be wiping down equipment regularly throughout the day and between every 90-minute time slot.
  • We are closed for 15 minutes increments for deep cleaning and disinfection throughout the day and we also deep clean when the building closes at the end of each day.

We will continue to work with our infection control team at Swedish Hospital as well as monitor government developments and requirements to continue to offer you services in the safest manner.

 Facility Updates 

  • The locker rooms are open. We have a limited number of lockers available to encourage social distancing and 7 showers in each locker room (4 on the West side, 3 on the East side). We encourage you to change and shower at home due to the limited availability.
  • The hand dryers and hair dryers have been disconnected. No hair dryers are allowed.
  • Towels will be available in the locker rooms. Please limit your use to 2 towels.
  • The small lock boxes near the Courtesy Desk are also available for a small daily fee if needed.
  • There are designated stations with a variety of small equipment (Kettlebells, Medicine balls, VIPR, etc.) set up that you may reserve for 30 minutes at a time with a Fitness Specialist when you arrive to the Fitness Floor.
  • The vending machines are available for use.
  • Hand Sanitizer and wipes are readily available for use throughout the facility.
  • Member parking is available in the Swedish Hospital garage. You can get a validated parking voucher for free parking at the Courtesy Desk.

  • Steam Rooms
  • Sauna
  • KidCenter
  • Member Parking Lot

 Classes and Services 

  • One-on-one services – We will continue to offer Personal Training, Pilates, Massage and Acupuncture appointments. 
  • Free classes – We are offering some free indoor classes in Studio 1 included in your membership. There is limited capacity and registration is required.
  • Virtual classes – We will continue to offer Virtual Group Fitness classes included free with all membership types. 
  • Small group classes – We are offering different types of small group classes like ABC, Fluidity Barre, 3D30 and Masters Workouts inside the facility. Registration and extra fees are required.
  • East and West Pools – We have opened both the East and West Pools for lap swimming, water walking and water exercise classes. Reservations are required. Lane reservations are 30 minutes in length. You may book up to two 30-minute sessions per day. Reservations are available 48 hours in advance. 
  • Whirlpools, sauna and steam rooms are closed.

Note: Masks are not required while swimming or showering but are required on the pool deck and in the locker room. We recommend members bring a plastic bag to put their mask in to hang up so that it doesn’t get wet.
